TAX COLLECTOR'S NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that I, Joy Ann Monforte, Tax Collector for the Town of Denning, Ulster County, State of New York, have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Denning for the year 2011.

Taxes will be collected at the Denning Town Hall, 1567 Denning Road, Claryville, N.Y. 12725 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 A. M. to 3:00 P.M., and at the Catskill Hudson Bank, in the Cannie D's Plaza, Route 55, Neversink, N.Y. 12765 and by mail to the Town of Denning P.O. Box 277, Claryville, N.Y. 12725.

Taxes will also be collected at the Sundown Church Hall on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 and on Saturday January 29, 2011 the Denning Town Hall from 10A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before the 31st day of January without interest. On all taxes received after such date there shall be added interest of one percent of the amount of the unpaid taxes for each month or fraction thereof until taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the Ulster County Department of Finance pursuant to law.

PLEASE TAKE FURHTER NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll for the Town of Denning will be returned to the Ulster County Finance Commissioner on the date of expiration of the Collector's Warrant for 2011.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Claryville Fire District will take place on December 14, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Claryville Fire House located on Denning Rd. for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2011, and ending December 31, 2015; and for the purpose of electing a Treasurer for a (3) three year term, commencing January 1, 2011, and ending December 31, 2013.

Legal Notice of Public Hearing on the Claryville Fire District Budget.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Claryville Fire District of the Town(s) of Neversink and Denning, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Claryville Fire District, for its consideration.

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Claryville Fire Department Community Hall, 1500 Denning Rd., in the Town of Denning, State of New York on the 19th day of October 19, 2010.

Pursuant to Town Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.

The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.

TOWN OF DENNING RESIDENTS

New York State Real Property Tax Law Section 501 requires all municipalities to maintain adequate information (inventory) about all properties on its assessment roll.

New York State has determined that the inventory records in the Town of Denning are out dated and has required that our records be updated.

We have contracted with Michael Dunham of Valley Appraisal Service to update our inventory. He will be taking measurements and photos of all Town of Denning Denning properties and creating a database with the correct information so the Town will be in compliance with New York State Law.

If you see Mr. Dunham and / or Mr. Sommer, our Town Assessor, please be accommodating so that they can complete the inventory update for our Town.

The Town of Denning will maintain a list of people requiring assistance and who will be the most appropriate person to contact to provide assistance. It will be the responsibility of the person assisting to contact additional help such as the Town of Denning, fire company, ambulance, etc. if needed.

We know that people are more than willing to assist friends and neighbors during events that occur occasionally in our Town. The material must be of such grade as to be acceptable to the Town of Denning Highway Superintendent. Sand for all locations shall be screened, clean, hard sharp and free from loam, clay, frozen lumps, loam or organic material with 100% passing through a 3/8 inch sieve.

Upon acceptance of bid price, bidder shall in turn notify the Town of Denning Highway Superintendent when he has at least 100 tons of material stockpiled in order that the testing may be done by the Highway Department or by a designated agent for final approval.

Bid forms are available from the Town Clerks Office or the Town Highway Superintendent. Forms must be in a sealed envelope with the company name clearly visible. Bids may be mailed to: Town of Denning, P.O. Box 277, Claryville, N.Y. 12725

All sealed bids must be received by Tuesday, April 13, 2010 prior to the Town of Denning Town Board Meeting; to begin at 7:00 P.M. during SAID meeting All Bids will be publicly opened and read. The meeting is to be held at the Denning Town Hall, 1567 Denning Road, Claryville, N.Y. 12725.

All material must be delivered to the Town, within the confines of the Town of Denning.
